The Abuse of John 3:16

Unconditional love? Is there such a thing? Could you love someone who doesn’t love you back? Would that be the epitome of what perfect love is. If God loves is unconditional, why would he send someone to hell for not obeying him. I hear that all the time.  Things like, “What kind of God is that,  if you don’t do […]

Death, The Doorway to Judgement

Being born to this world seems like eternity. It gives you a false sense of immortality, remember when you were young. Now that you’ve grown older, life is indeed short and fragile. You might even think that death will never happen to you. None of us dare to talk about it. It doesn’t matter what race or class are you. It is taboo. And yet it is everybody’s destination. There’s  planing for all kind of things. From  careers, birthdays to anniversaries but no one plans for death. Our world today is no better at all. Wickedness abounds. The norm now is what wrong is right and what right is wrong. To make it worse the masses are embracing it. And people wonder why everything is changing from worse to worse. Once in a while or maybe oftentimes you ask yourself this question, “Where is God? Does he even care.” You know like the way He did in the Old Testament. How many times we say to ourselves, “I’m glad I’m not like that guy or gal.” A lot of us are so immerse in our physical world, trying to outdo each other. From the point of being born and raise, we’ve always been taught to strive for more. Better job, more money, perfect family or whatever that will satisfy our cravings. These things become a focal point in our lives. It becomes a passion.  The driving principle that permeates our life, to the point that we forget that everything in this world are  temporal. We always think that nothing will ever happen to us. That all is well, we never thought that today could be our last day. How many times you’ve seen someone judging others  according to what they have and not according to their character. For instance, wives whose love for their husband growing cold because of financial reasons. A friend of mine whose family went cold toward him because his business went bankrupt. It is true indeed, what the Bible said in Proverbs 14:20, “The poor is hated even of his own neighbour: but the rich hath many friends.” Let’s stop justifying ourselves to our own standard and comparing ourselves to […]
