In earlier days he permitted all the nations to go their own ways, but he never left himself without a witness. There were always his reminders, such as sending you rain and good crops and giving you food and joyful hearts.
We tell ourselves that God doesn’t exist (for the unbeliever). We contain God only in churches and the Bible (for the believers). The angst and the comfort of this life could easily blind us. To the one who suffers, he says, “If God exist he would not let this happen.” To the one who is prosperous, she say’s, “I don’t need Him it is I who made it.”
Yes, we all have fallen and fall short by the grace of God. I’ve done it, you’ve done it. We probably doing it now and completely oblivious to it. When our minds are set not to see God in simple things then our mind is already made up though God’s presence and hand prints are all in front of us, staring at us.
You could say I have a crazy imagination. I see God in all things. The moment I woke up until the time I go to bed, not knowing that maybe the next morning I won’t be able to wake up and yet here I am writing this for you. For that I am thankful to Him. The nature that surrounds us. The chirping melody of birds. The warm sunshine that hits my face. The rain tapping on the leaves of trees. The calming sound of ocean breeze. The lightnings that looks like strobe flashes in the cloud with that deafening sound of thunder vibrating through my heart.
To more complex things that we don’t think about. The structure of our dna, the firing of multiple synapses and neurons in our brain. The design of our own human anatomy. The moment that we were conceived from such microscopic cells. Yet here we are, a living, breathing, feeling human being. Amazing!
Though we are wayward in our ways and we deny His existence, His mark is all over the place. As for me, His greatest reminder is His grace and unfailing love which is found in Jesus Christ.
How about you? What’s your greatest reminder of Him?
