Judgement Through Biblical Standard
I was washing the dishes, when suddenly it came to my mind how each and every one of us look just in the sight of our own eyes. Majority of the population are law abiding citizen. How many times we say to ourselves, “I’m glad I’m not like that guy or gal.” A lot of us are so immerse in our physical world, trying to outdo each other. From the point of being born and raise, we’ve always been taught to strive for more. Better job, more money, perfect family or whatever that will satisfy our cravings. These things become a focal point in our lives. It becomes a passion. The driving principle that permeates our life, to the point that we forget that everything in this world are temporal. We always think that nothing will ever happen to us. That all is well, we never thought that today could be our last day. How many times you’ve seen someone judging others according to what they have and not according to their character. For instance, wives whose love for their husband growing cold because of financial reasons. A friend of mine whose family went cold toward him because his business went bankrupt. It is true indeed, what the Bible said in Proverbs 14:20, “The poor is hated even of his own neighbour: but the rich hath many friends.”
Let’s stop justifying ourselves to our own standard and comparing ourselves to other people. Rather, we should be held accountable base on God’s standard. We should always be humble, slow to speak, and quick to listen. The people who really care for you are usually the ones who stay with you through your deepest trials. It’ll be a surprise on the judgment seat when you see the people who suppose to go to heaven are not there and the one who aren’t supposed to be there are the ones that are there. Lastly, we should stop judging for the Bible said, “Judge not, that ye be not judged.” (Matt. 7:1KJV).
In closing, I hope you read this verses from Luke 13:25-27. Let us meditate and think about this, and stop judging other people. Rather, let us come toward God with a humble heart and be not arrogant and proud.
